Odds changes in selected match

The Predict window also includes a section called Odds Changes. It is used to analyze changes in the odds listed for a selected match. The aim of the analysis is to examine how changes in odds have affected the result of matches in the past.

The analysis of past matches is performed according to the settings in the Predict / Matches section. We can therefore set whether only matches from a given competition should be taken into account, from which period, whether only home / away matches, etc.
The image shows the Tips / Odds Changes section for the match Brentford - Brighton:

.. the current odds for the match are listed at the top: 2.00 - 3.60 - 3.60.
The next three lines show the old odds for the match in question. The image first shows the odds valid 24 hours ago, then the odds 48 hours ago, and finally the first odds listed for the match. It can be seen that the odds 24 and 48 hours ago were the same, differing from the current value only in the tip for the visitors, which has currently increased by 8% from 3.40. The first odds listed were quite different from the current value, with the home team odds falling by a total of 9% and the away team odds increasing by 13%.

The next part of the window is intended for monitoring similar odds changes in the past.
It is possible to separately specify the conditions for searching for similar odds changes for home and away teams. For both teams, we can specify whether the first odds listed for the team or against the team should be compared in previous matches.

When defining the conditions for odds changes in played matches, it is possible to set a percentage change range and also a range for the last odds value per match. If the restriction for the last odds is not active, then, for example, a 17% decrease in odds is accepted for the original odds of 8.40 as well as for odds of 2.50. By setting the range for the last odds, we can bring the situation from the past as close as possible to the current state.

There is no limit on the last price in the image.

The bottom part of the window displays an overview of matches, first for the home team, then for the visitors, which meet the specified conditions for odds changes.
For each tip, the original odds, final odds, and percentage change in odds are listed.

The image shows the home team's matches where the odds for the home team fell by 7 to 11 percent compared to the original value (this range is set automatically based on the current 9 percent drop in odds), but it is possible to set it differently. In the period from January 1, 2024, a total of 7 matches met this criterion. The match balance is shown on the left above the list of matches: 3 wins - 2 draws - 2 losses. The bottom line shows the profit calculated if we had bet the same amount on each of the matches shown for the winning team.

For guests, matches with odds increases for this team range from 10 to 16 percent (again, subject to change). There were a total of 9 such matches in the period under review (1 win - 4 draws - 4 losses). If we had bet on the loss of the team under review in all these matches, the total profit would be 14 percent.

The tool described above can therefore be easily used to verify the impact of changes in the odds offered in the history of both opponents.
