Profit for teams and competitions
What about the profit when betting every match of a team or every match at a competition?
A new feature at the Offer window counts the overall profit when we would bet on every match of a team. Only visible matches at the Offer window are involved. The Offer window can contain just the matches meeting a filter criteria. This new feature can filter visible matches even more, we can try to find teams which provide positive betting profit.
When betting the matches with a selected team there are several possibilities:
- betting on that team to win,
- betting against that team, which means on its lost,
- betting on the home team, not matter which team it is (the selected team or its opponent),
- betting on a draw result,
- betting on the away team, not matter which team it is (the selected team or its opponent),
- betting on the team with lower odds, which means on the favourite team at that match,
- betting on the team with higher odds, which means on the outsider team at that match.
The feature for counting the team matches profit is at the Offer window at the Stats button menu (above the matches lst): the item Profit / Team. All matches visible at the Offer are taken into account. There can be a time period, a whole season, more seasons of a league or a result of a filter. The following picture shows the result for all Premier League matches from 1st July 2019 to 5th November 2021, Bet365 odds:
The picture shows that of betting all Newcastle matches for Newcastle to win there would be the overall profit 12%. If betting all West Ham matches against this team the overall loss would be 19% of the total stake amount. It betting all matches of West Bromwich on the draw result then the overall profit would be 41%. And when betting all Everton matches on the outsider team (when comparing the odds for both opponents) then the overall profit would be 47%.
There is the possibility to differ the home and the away matches at the Profit / Team window. If activating this option for Premier League matches then the situation would be:
.. if betting on Newcastle at its away matches the overall profit would be 35%. When betting on Chelsea at its home matches the overall loss would be 16% (which means the odds for Chelsea at its home matches are too low).
There is a similar feature counting the profit for the whole season, better to say for all matches at the Offer window from a season of a league. The following picture shows the Profit / Competition result for group of top leagues matches:
.. the picture shows that there would be 38% overall profit when betting the draw results at the Austrian Bundesliga 2021/2022. And there would be 15% loss when betting the favourite teams at all matches of France Ligue 1 2021/2022.
When taking into account the results of this new feature we can always apply a filter for the Offer window and work just with the matches meeting our conditions (and eliminating matches which very probably make the overall profit lower).
Profit at the Predict window
The statistics for Profit / Team are available also at the Predict window. You can find it at the bottom area of the Games section:
Just the visible matches are taken into account here as well. So it is possible to filter matches according user criterias.
Profit at the filter for the Offer window
To work with Team / Profit data is possible also directly at the columns a the Offer window. When activating the section Profit / Team at the filter definition:
.. then there are available new columns with Profit / Team data as described above. We can check results of teams with positive profit values in the past and then the filter allows the usage also for the scheduled matches.
